Conference

Speakers from Canada, Finland, Sweden, UK and Ireland will present talks that will focus on new developments and new techniques with respect to the age old problem of exploring in areas of glaciated terrain. Topics to be discussed include new geochemical techniques and research, new geophysical techniques, understanding ice flow directions and how all this can lead to a better understanding of how to explore in theses difficult terrains.

Dave Heberlein will present a half day workshop on Exploration Geochemistry which will cover topics such as; primary dispersion, the secondary environment, seeing through cover and geochemistry survey design.  Dave has considerable experience in working in terrains similar to Ireland and his workshop should give the Irish exploration geologist a valuable tool in tackling similar problems here.
